Special International Project

Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas Child – Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ. Every Christmas, The Island Chapel participates in Operation Christmas Child annually. Members of the church select gifts for girls and boys ages 2 – 14 and fill plastic “shoeboxes” with those gifts.

Come join us support Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child at the Island Chapel's 2020 Packing Party Saturday, November 14, 2 pm.

Our goal this year is to fill and send 400 boxes.  With your help we can do it!  Click Here to Register.

The $10 event fee covers the cost of shipping a box.  The church is currently accepting items for the boxes (school supplies, hygiene products, toys).  Those that prefer not to shop, but would like to contribute can also make a financial donation (directly to the church or click here to donate elecronically).  All donations will go to purchasing items for the boxes.

Due to social distancing, we will be spacing out arrival times in 15 minute increments.  Once registered, someone will contact with you to discuss your preferred arrival time.  We rented a large tent to make this event outside.

Contact the church if you are interested in volunteering for this special mission project.
