Covid-19 Response

The Island Chapel has taken several precautions for you and your worship experience with us.  Here are a few steps.

Space & Distance — We have removed some chairs so that we can spread out rows to accommodate social distancing.  We also request that people sit with empty chairs between family units.

Extra Cleaning - We provide hand sanitizers in various parts of our facilities for your use,  and we have taken additional steps to clean the facilities.

Masks Available - While we state that masks are optional, we have members who wear them and some who choose not to wear them.  We have purchased masks and make them available to our members and guests upon request.

Facebook & Zoom Option - While our worship services are happening live in our facilities, we stream the 10:00 AM Sunday Worship Service on Facebook Live. Our Sunday morning Adult Sunday school is also available on Zoom.  One of our largest Bible Studies on Thursday evenings is offered with spacing in our facility and also on Zoom.

Other Adjustments:  We are not passing the offering plate, but make them available in the back of our worship center.  Online giving options continue to be available.  While we want our members and guests to experience the warmth of our people, for our greeting time we are not exchanging handshakes, but instead using hand waves and warm smiles to each other for our greeting.  We are now making liquids available in our facilities after the worship services, but we currently have suspended the finger foods and fruits.
