vacation Bible school - June 27 - July 1 8:45am - noon
If you are looking for a special, meaningful summer activity for your children, each June, The Island Chapel holds a FREE week-long Vacation Bible School for grades pre-school – 6 (ages 4-12). The focus of VBS is to teach the basics about God through fun activities, crafts, games and music.
Each year there is a special theme for Vacation Bible School. For 2016 our theme is SUBMERGED, based on Psalm 139:23-24, " Search me O God, and know my heart! Test me and know my anxious thoughts! See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
Be sure to mark your calendars for June 27 - July 1, 8:45 - Noon; and prepare your children for an exciting journey - to find the truth below the surface. Space is limited, so register your children today. Print the form below and mail or bring to The Island Chapel. Please complete a separate form for each child.
Our mission: to take care of the flock and to win people to Christ. One acronym best expresses our main focus: WIFE
W = Worship God in all we do;
I = Instruction; share the Word of God with others;
F = Fellowship, an integral part of our mission;
E = Evangelism, or expression of our faith
Through our mission programs, we express our faith, share the Word of God, often with those who have never heard it, worship God and share fellowship with people from different cultures. In addition to international mission trips to Haiti, Cuba, Jakarta and other locations, we have an active local/national mission program. Read "more."
